Our first adventure in geocaching. Shauna sent us the directions and we went in search of a camouflaged drink mix container. It was 35 degrees and the wind was blowing (as always in SD), and about 45 minutes into our searching we finally found the blessed thing. Our only hint was a small wooded area. If any of you are familiar with the Midwest, wooded means wooded and millions of places to hide a camo container. Not to mention the woods are rarely small. Our ears were frozen and we were ready to give up, but we tried one last area close to the main road and found it. There was a big sticker and one small plastic cell phone inside. Carter was very upset because the toys we were leaving were by far superior. About half way home he asked me to "go right back because this toy is stupid and I want my stuff back." Due to his overwhelming disappointment in the treasure, we may not be doing anymore geocaching until he can find pleasure in the searching.

How fun! I can't wait until my boys are a little older- they will love this.
