Our 4th of July was a fun day. Wade played in a tournament that morning and nearly made the top 8. Carter and Kai decorated their bikes and then we were off to the neighborhood parade. We contemplated having the boys carry a sign that said "Wake up, your freedoms are being taken by an out-of-control government," but we didn't have any poster board. I didn't plan on Max wanting to be in the parade, so his scooter did not get decorated. He only made it to the truck anyway. Once the parade made it to the club they had big blow-up toys to climb and jump on. We stayed for awhile and then went into Sioux City to a friends house for dinner. The boys kept themselves busy catching fireflies and then we drove back to the club for fireworks. The day was perfect. Over cast and cool, not hot and muggy.
