Basement Pictures

We finally have carpet in the basement. It is so nice to be able to say "go play in the basement." We opted out of having our basement finished by the contractor. Although it has taken longer to get the basement finished, we do not regret the decision. We made a number of improvements. We moved the fireplace from the corner, did our own lighting, and had our kitchen floors stiffened. All things we would not have been able to do if it was finished when we moved in.

This is the platform for the theater seating (if that ever comes to pass). Currently it is Dane's favorite place to play.

This is Wade's handy work. He built the wall for the fireplace and the stone as well. AWESOME don't you think?

Another example of Wade's talent. We decided we wanted some pizzazz to our theater room so we did wavy soffits.

Here is my beautiful stained concrete floors. The picture just doesn't do it justice. We still need to get the cabinets for the wet bar and bathroom put in, but that is a bill for another day.
