"Dane go pee?"

I know Natalie doesn't care for this picture, but it is appropriate for the story that follows.

Today Max and Dane were happily playing in the bedroom when Max comes around the corner "Mom go pee". I thought he meant he had to go potty, so I asked Max if he needed to go potty and he said "NO, Dane go pee." At about this time, Dane walks around the corner and I see that he is wet from elbow to ankle. In my infinite wisdom I deduce that Dane did not pee out of his diaper in such an unseemly manner so I smell his shirt and YEP you guessed it... It had a distinct urine odor. Max had relieved himself on his baby brother.

I thought I was done with these kinds of happenings when the twins turned 4.

You're boys crack me up. What did Dane do?

He had no idea. He just went on as if it was all a normal activity, and I'm pretty sure it is NOT a normal occurrence.

O man! Wow! I'm not sure how I would have reacted! How did you not turn around and laugh? What did you do?

Well, it wasn't funny at the time. I'm pretty sure Max knew he was in trouble by the sound of my voice. I asked him if he peed on Dane and he quickly shook his head NO. He denied it to the end, but did not get out of time out on his bed. If you ask him where to pee he says "potty toilet."

As I finished reading that I said to Thurm, "ugh, I hope we don't have stories like that to tell." But I'm sure we will : )
