I'm posting this for my husband because, although he is a co-contributer he never will, and this is one thing he would find post worthy;) Wild turkeys are abundant in the area, and as a hunter, he thinks this is "awesome." What you can't see in the picture is the 20 or so other turkeys not in the picture. We asked the boys what they would do to catch a turkey to eat and the answers were disturbing yet comical. Kai - "I'd take a sharp knife and poke him," said with all the enthusiasm Kai is well known for. Carter's response had equal passion and intensity. The other night they were watching a fishing infomercial about the "Banjo minnow" and they were so excited about the fish biting that they were jumping up and out of their seats. "Dad, we GOTTA get that." They were even willing to pitch in with their own money. It makes me smile and I know that if Wade can find an outdoorsman niche here in SD the boys will be his most devote followers. Except for maybe Max, he is not near the thrill seeker his brothers are.
